Kait Feeney, CEO

Kait has spent her career at the intersection of law (labor and employment, to be exact) and startups. As a lawyer, she advised CEOs and HR teams through some of their hardest moments: terminations, layoffs, reorgs, even founder breakups.

As VP of People and Chief Operating Officer, she found herself on the other side of the table delivering the news. No matter how many times she had to say the words, it never got easier. The reasons didn’t matter. The people did.

DenZen is a redemption story. For her, for them, and for everyone who deserves financial stability that isn’t tied to their job.

Derek has been in the trenches as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for some of the biggest names in insurance. He’s helped scale products that have reached millions.

From regulatory strategy to deal-making to distribution, Derek knows how insurance actually works, and (with love to our carrier friends) how it could work better. At DenZen, he’s channeling that experience into building products that protect real people from real risks.

After over two decades in the industry, he’s still most energized by creating solutions that feel simple, safe, and human.
